Position Overview: As a Senior Tax Associate at Alliant Accounting Group Inc., you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation/review and filing of tax returns, providing corporate and estate tax planning advice, and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations. You will work closely with our tax partner and clients to deliver exceptional service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and other entities.
Assist with tax planning and provide recommendations to optimize tax positions.
Research and analyze tax issues, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations using the Income Tax Act.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates.
Assist in the preparation of supporting documentation for tax audits and reviews.
Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
Preparation of compilation engagements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional designation (CPA, CA, or equivalent) is preferred but not required.
Enrollment or completion of In-Depth Tax is preferred.
Proven experience in tax preparation and planning.
Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in tax software and Microsoft 365.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
