Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated shop labour or Apprentice Mechanic to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and the prospect to develop essential skills in mechanical repair and maintenance and earn an apprenticeship .

The Apprentice

Mechanic will work under the supervision of experienced technicians to learn industry best practices, assist with routine maintenance, and gain practical experience in a energetic work setting. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about mechanics and eager to build a career in the field.

Duties
Assist senior mechanics with diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on equipment and machinery
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and inspections
Learn to use various hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing devices
Support the team in troubleshooting mechanical problems and identifying solutions
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
Document work performed and report findings to supervisors
Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times during work activities

Skills
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components




Solid desire to learn and develop technical skills in mechanics
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work under supervision
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members
Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Prior experience in automotive or industrial mechanics is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
