The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for handling quality issues, whether internal or within the Quality Assurance department. The position works closely with key stakeholders, including Engineering, Methods, Quality Control and Purchasing.
- Take ownership of the follow-up of non-conformities and “Corrective Action Requests”;
- Investigate and analyze non-conformities identified internally (plant) and externally (suppliers);
- Ensure compliance with the “5 Whys” process for non-conformities;
- Issue Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and ensure follow-up of action plans;
- Distribute monthly activity reports for “CAR” and “5 Whys” activities;
- Take ownership of supplier quality assessments;
- Take ownership of the analysis and distribution of updates to customer specifications;
- Manage the stamping activity;
- Control and maintain archives;
- Participate in the processing of actions resulting from customer quality audits;
- Perform duties in accordance with the company’s vision, doctrine and code of ethics;
- Apply and comply with safety rules at all times;
- Apply and comply with the rules of our quality policy and quality management system;
Authority (Decision-Making Authority)
- Distribution of Quality Management System documents;
- Initiate corrective and preventive actions within the framework of the IMS;
- Stop production if a risk of non-conformity is identified. The final decision will be made by the Site Quality Director;
- Suspend an operator qualification;
- Duty to report and escalate to the Site Quality Director in the event of a safety issue (product or personnel);
Your Profile:
- College diploma (DEC) in aerospace, mechanical engineering or a related field;
- Experience in quality assurance or in an aerospace manufacturing environment;
- Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards would be an asset;
- Fluency in both spoken and written French and English;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Demonstrated knowledge of machining and assembly techniques;
- Leadership skills in facilitating multidisciplinary teams;
- Ability to be factual, precise, concise and rigorous when preparing reports;
- Ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously;
- Curious, personable, meticulous and versatile;
- Ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
