Job Summary: Responsible for interface with customer & suppliers to ensure that quality expectations are met and to nurture a good relationship with customers and suppliers.
Required Education and Experience:
- Community College courses in Quality related discipline
- Experience with CMM
- Experience with Fastner sorting machines
- Strong communicator in the English language, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Proficient in the use of measuring equipment (i.e. verniers, micrometer, height gauges, profile projector, etc.)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Familiar with TS16949 / ISO 9001 quality and environmental management standards
- Automotive industry experience required 5 years
RPPL is a agile fast-growing company. The job responsibilities of a quality engineer include, but are not limited to;
- Participate in daily QC Planning & Activities
- Liaison with suppliers and customers to ensure timely resolution of issues; travel to Supplier / customer when required.
- To notify suppliers and customers of potential problems and make recommendations for resolutions
- Program and run vision sorting machines
- Responsible for organizing containment of non-conforming supplied product.
- Responsible for trouble shooting root cause analysis,
implementation and maintain up to date documentations related to APQP documentation
- Participate in Team Oriented Problem Solving (corrective and preventive actions)
- Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Participate and approve PPAP submissions as required
- To review and make recommendations for the disposition of non-conforming/suspect products in a timely manner and ensure formal corrective actions are answered within customer's guidelines
- Contribute and assist in variability reduction, process improvement and continuous improvement
- Ensure all documentation for the Department are properly maintained and controlled as per IATF16949
- Participate in regular process audits and internal quality audits to determine the effectiveness of the quality system.
- Conduct Supplier Assessment and Supplier Audits as required.
- Establish priorities when faced with multiple projects
· Provide recommendations for Manufacturing process improvements and robustness
· Oversee multiple parts or projects
· Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Job /Company
· Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems and Human Resources policies
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
