Expected compensation: 24.00 CAD Per Hour
HireArt is helping our client find a Quality Technician to support product quality and ensure manufactured products meet established quality and performance standards at its Longueuil site.
In this role, you'll perform quality inspections and testing throughout the production process, document and communicate quality issues, and support the validation of electromechanical products and test fixtures. You'll work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products meet quality requirements.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in quality control or engineering technician work and is comfortable inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical products. You are detail-oriented, technically skilled, and able to work independently in a production environment.
As a Quality Technician, You Will
- Perform quality control inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Conduct quality checks, measurements, and analysis using appropriate testing and measurement equipment, accurately documenting results and non-conformities.
- Support the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, quality manuals, and inspection reports.
- Prototype and validate electromechanical products and test fixtures based on designs provided by the engineering team.
- Execute durability, electrical, and functional validation testing at the component, module, and system levels.
- Execute test plans using test scripts, test fixtures, and manual testing methods in collaboration with hardware and software design teams.
- Manage bills of materials (BOMs) using the company's PLM software, Arena.
Requirements
- A Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in mechanical, electronics, or industrial engineering, industrial automation, or an equivalent discipline
- Experience as a Quality Technician, Engineering Technician, or in a similar quality control role
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, design drawings, and schematics
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Proficiency with measurement equipment such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers
- Solid attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs of equipment as required in a warehouse environment
- Ability to communicate effectively in French and English, with French required for this position
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Nice To Have
- Basic design knowledge using mechanical tools such as SolidWorks or Ansys, or electrical design tools such as Altium or Eagle
Commitment: This is a full-time, 4-month contract position staffed via HireArt. The role is onsite and available to candidates local to the Longueuil, Quebec, Canada area.
