INTRODUCTION TO ROLE The R&D; Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and validating board-level analog and mixed-signal circuits to support the development of high-performance electronic systems. This role encompasses schematic and PCB design using Altium Designer, testing and characterizing circuits across low and high-frequency ranges, and contributing to embedded system code and firmware development. The engineer will also process experimental data and produce clear, actionable reports, ensuring that designs meet performance requirements and support the company’s R&D; objectives.

The R&D; Engineer will contribute to the electrical testing and validation of early-stage silicon and support silicon product release, working closely with ASIC and MEMS design teams to plan experiments, develop low-noise, high-performance analog and digital circuits, and provide cross-functional support to testing, applications, and reliability engineers, ultimately ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality silicon products.





The R&D; Engineer will report directly to the Senior Systems Engineer and will be expected to work a total of 40 hours per week (on-site or hybrid).

Location: Vancouver or Montreal.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

- Architect and analyze board-level analog and mixed-signal circuits and electronics;
- Design and capture schematic and PCB layout using Altium Designer;
- Assist and contribute to developing embedded system code and firmware;
- Test, validate, and characterize low and high-frequency circuits;
- Analyze/process data and generate well-written reports.
- Perform testing of analog and mixed-signal ASICs and ASIC + MEMS systems at the wafer level and after packaging.
- Work closely with test houses to set up final test infrastructure and deploy production test hardware and programs.

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Bachelor or Master in electrical engineering, science or other equivalent qualification;
- Strong background in analyzing and designing analog and digital electronics;
- Strong background in low-noise high signal authenticity circuit design;
- Experienced in Altium Designer;
- Experience in instrumentation and lab measurement (oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, frequency counters);
- Familiarity with RF PCB design principles;
- Knowledge of embedded systems and programming;
- Having a knowledge of computer programming Python,



C++ or mathlab are preferred;
- Data analysis and report writing.
- Detail-oriented with proven problem-solving skills
