DEFINITION:

Under the direction of the Programs Supervisor, or his/her delegate, assists with a variety of janitorial tasks, supervises public ice skating, and performs cash function at the Sportsplex during public skating, and related programmes.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

1. Supervise public use of the Sportsplex;
2. Maintain order on the ice surface;
3. Perform janitorial duties, as assigned;
4. Collect cash for public skating programmes and record daily cash receipts;
5. Other related duties, as required.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Completion of Grade 10;
2. Ability to operate related equipment;
3. Some janitorial experience;
4. First Aid training;
5. Ability to work independently and to accomplish tasks and assignments;
6. Ability to deal effectively with co-workers and the public;
7.



Valuable written and oral communication skills.

A criminal record check will be required to be provided by all potential successful applicants to this position prior to it being awarded.
