Contract Duration: 2026-09-21 - 2027-03-20
Work Location: Dunsmuir, BC – Hybrid (2 days in office)
Possibility of Extension: Yes, depending on workload and performance
Max T4 Rate: $26.42/
Role Overview The Recruitment Coordinator-L1 provides administrative and recruitment coordination support throughout the applicant screening, selection, and hiring process. The role works closely with Recruitment Partners, hiring managers, candidates, and other stakeholders to coordinate interviews, recruitment workflows, compliance activities, candidate testing, background checks, and start dates. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing high-volume recruitment processes and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain clear and timely communication with Recruitment Partners, hiring managers, candidates, and internal teams throughout the recruitment process.
Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews, assessments, testing, and related activities.
Post job opportunities to internet and print sites, including refreshing, updating, and removing postings as required.
Assist with initial candidate screening using established scripts and provide feedback to Recruitment Partners.
Support non-posted recruitment activities and hiring processes.
Confirm candidate eligibility and time-in-role requirements where applicable.
Coordinate candidate testing, medical assessments, background checks, reference checks, and other pre-employment requirements.
Coordinate candidate travel arrangements and related reimbursement processes.
Communicate test and medical results and coordinate candidate start dates.
Maintain accurate recruitment records, documentation, spreadsheets, and applicant tracking system information.
Provide regular updates to Recruitment Partners and managers to support timely decision-making.
Assist with sourcing and developing candidate pipelines for identified specialties.
Assist in developing and maintaining interview questions and recruitment resources.
Respond to candidate inquiries and provide timely follow-up and resolution.
Act as the primary recruitment contact for candidates and managers when the Recruitment Partner is unavailable.
Support Recruitment Partners in responding to candidate selection grievances.
Participate in process improvement, standardization, and recruitment workflow initiatives.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Certificate or diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
CPHR designation is considered an asset.
Experience working with applicant tracking systems or recruitment software.
Experience coordinating interviews and supporting high-volume recruitment processes.
Strong administrative, organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Experience with invoicing and maintaining high-volume administrative records.
Experience managing background checks, compliance activities, or similar administrative processes.
Advanced spreadsheet skills and the ability to work accurately with high-volume data.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Advanced English proficiency, including skilled written and verbal communication, facilitation, and group presentation skills.
