Description Our client is a Vancouver-based private equity firm focused on smaller to medium-sized companies. Reporting directly to the Principals, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial reporting functions including the following duties:
Preparing monthly and yearly financial statements for the company, its subsidiaries and other holding companies
Managing cash flow for the operating company
Conducting financial analyses to support management decisions
Leading the preparation of corporate, partnership returns, GST filings and other statutory requirements
Developing and implementing tax strategies to assist with tax planning as needed
Mentoring and supervising accounting staff
To be successful in this role,



you must be a designated CPA with training from public practice and have a minimum 5 years progressive accounting experience in a rapid-paced setting. Strong technical & analytical skills and excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with management, external customers and internal staff required. In addition, previous experience in the investments/financial services sector would be preferred.
