This is a role for someone who understands that strong culture is built through trust, clarity, and care, day after day, decision by decision.About the RoleReporting to the Head of School, the Director, People & Culture provides strategic and hands-on leadership for all people practices across HTS. This role blends big-picture thinking with day-to-day presence, moving seamlessly between planning, advising, listening, coaching, and doing. What You'll Do:People StrategyCo-Lead the design, development and implementation of talent and leadership development programs to strengthen leadership capacity across HTS.Lead the evolution and day-to-day application of the performance management framework to drive accountability, development, and alignment with organizational strategy.Use data and insight to continuously improve the employee experience.Leadership Advisory & Compliance OversightServe as the primary people and workforce advisor to the Head of School and Senior Leadership Team.Provide hands-on leadership in employee relations, investigations, accommodations, disability management, and return-to-work planning.Advise leaders on employment decisions with clarity and care.Ensure compliance with employment standards, human rights, accessibility, and health & safety legislation.Act as management representative on the Joint Health & Safety Committee.Change, Growth & Total RewardsDevelop and implement the HR Strategic Plan aligned with school priorities and budgeting.Lead change initiatives that support organizational growth and evolving needs.Develop compensation philosophy and salary structures in partnership with Finance.Oversee WSIB, insurance relationships, and disability case management.Equity, Inclusion & BelongingEmbed equity, inclusion, and human rights principles into policies, systems,
