Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sandblaster/coater to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces through sandblasting and applying high-quality coating finishes to a variety of metal and industrial components. Your expertise will help ensure our products meet strict quality standards while maintaining a secure and efficient work environment.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in surface preparation, coating techniques, and mechanical processes within a rapid-paced manufacturing setting.

Duties
Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring removal of rust & scale
Apply spray coating using spray guns, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specifications.
Set up and calibrate equipment such as blast hoses, compressors, power tools, and hand tools to facilitate protected handling of materials.
Perform routine inspections of equipment




Follow safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of hazardous materials.
Assist with assembly or machining tasks when required, utilizing mechanical knowledge and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Maintain cleanliness of work area, tools, and equipment to promote a secure and organized environment in line with lean manufacturing principles.

Skills
Mechanical knowledge with experience
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including surface preparation, coating techniques, and assembly.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team setting.
Must have confined space, fall protection and CSTS, WHMIS
