Security company requires security guards for a various hotel locations in the downtown core of Toronto.

Permanent opportunities
Part time - 16 hours per week, with the prospect to pick up additional shifts
Full time - 40 - 44 hours per week
All locations are in the downtown Toronto core
All sites are accessible via TTC
All applicants, please ensure you are able to reliably commute to the downtown Toronto core
Most sites have an outdoor patrol component

Part Time
Sat, & Sun, 1500h - 2300h
Fri & Sun, 2300h - 0700h

Full Time
Monday to Friday, 0700h - 1500h

Job Requirements
Ontario Security Guard License
Standard First Aid CPR-C + AED
Experience at a hotel and enforcing site protocol

Preferred Qualifications
1 year experience in security and customer service
Must be skilled and presentable
Have excellent communication, customer service, and report writing skills

Duties
Unafraid to ensure all who enter the property have business there
Provide access control and screen individuals entering the site
Conduct hourly exterior and interior patrols




Enforce the "Trespass to Property Act"
Write and submit reports in a timely manner
Respond to calls from Manager on Duty and guests in a timely manner, with follow up occurring where necessary on the next shift
Work with site staff
Liaise with Toronto Police and other emergency services
De-escalate potential situations
Communicate with their team
Be versatile with work assignments
Interact with site guests in a positive a professional manner
Some postings are mostly static with an occasional patrol
Guards are expected to be able to stand for up to 2 hours at a time between breaks and patrols

Pay: $17.75-$18.75 per hour

Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience
security: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification
Ontario Security Guard License (required)
Standard First Aid CPR - C + AED (required)
