Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and effective Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently in a quick-paced environment.

Duties
Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high-quality service standards
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cashiering duties
Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
Assist in food preparation and dishwashing when necessary and maintain cleanliness of work areas
Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
Provide guest services by addressing questions, special requests, and resolving issues promptly
Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant policies

Qualifications




Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
Experience with food industry operations including serving, upselling, and cashiering is advantageous
Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail

Requirements:
Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to learn
Previous serving at Japanese restaurant experience is a plus but not required
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (e.g. work permit, PR, citizen)
