Join OLG’s Risk Monitoring team as a Safer Gambling Data Analyst Intern in Sault Ste. Marie or Toronto. Engage in data analytics to support Safer Gambling initiatives and improve player safety. This full time student position runs from September to December 2026 and focuses on data analysis efforts for OLG's PlaySmart Safer Gambling program.

You will work on querying extensive datasets using SQL and Python while applying machine learning techniques to derive actionable insights. This role combines research and data interpretation to enhance the effectiveness of safer gambling measures. Key Responsibilities:
Support analytics and research initiatives for Safer Gambling
Analyze program data to generate actionable insights




Query data using SQL and Python from the Hadoop data lake
Perform regressions and clustering for business insights
Create reports and PowerBI dashboards for data interpretation Requirements:
Interest in Research and Public Policy
Proficient in Python and SQL
Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics
Solid communication and presentation skills
