Ready to suit up as a Retail Security Guard

As a Retail Security Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe environment through proactive patrolling, strong situational awareness, and effective surveillance. You will help prevent shoplifting and security incidents while using excellent communication, conflict resolution, and de-escalation skills to address situations professionally and respectfully.

Part-time opportunity: Thursday to Saturday, 16:00 to 20:00 (4-hour shifts)

Responsibilities for Retail Security Guard
Patrol critical areas to identify and deter suspicious activity




Verify identification and control access to secure areas
Respond promptly to incidents or potential threats and document all actions taken
Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of alarms and surveillance systems
Respond to alarms and conduct in office investigations as required
Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents

Qualifications for Retail Security Guard
Be authorized to work in Canada
Hold a valid BC security license
First aid certification - an asset
Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
Alert, detail-oriented, with strong situational awareness
Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations
Robust report writing skills
Exceptional customer service skills
