The Controller will oversee the accounting and financial operations for The Detox Market. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, improving systems and processes, and providing strategic insights to support growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in omni-channel D2C businesses and inventory management. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger, AP/AR, inventory, and payroll. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; prepare consolidated and brand-level financial statements. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and Canadian GAAP/IFRS standards, as applicable. Manage cost of goods sold, gross margin analysis, and support accurate inventory accounting for multi-channel operations. Identify opportunities for process streamlining, automation, and enhanced reporting capabilities while maintaining and improving internal controls. Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting. Supervise and mentor accounting staff and external resources, fostering accountability and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,



or a related field; CPA or other relevant professional certification preferred. 5-10 years of experience in accounting/finance roles with public accounting experience a plus Strong GAAP Knowledge with experience in inventory management; knowledge of Canadian tax and compliance frameworks a plus. Strong analytical and communication skills; able to present financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Experience working with multiple subsidiaries and currencies. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot table, VLookups). Proficiency in ERP systems; NetSuite experience highly preferred.
