In this role, you will be responsible for food preparation, serving meals, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and protected cafeteria space. Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble food items according to school guidelines, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transaction processing
Serve meals to students and staff with friendly customer service, promoting a positive dining atmosphere
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning food prep areas, utensils, tables, and equipment regularly
Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
Assist in upselling menu items or special offerings to enhance meal sales and student satisfaction

Qualifications




Previous food service experience or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS is a plus
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy meal periods
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and inventory counting
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, qualified demeanor
Ability to work collaboratively in a team workplace within a fast-paced setting
