Drive public policy discussions on access and privacy as a Policy Analyst at the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario. This 12-month contract role focuses on research, analysis, and communication to enhance Ontarians' privacy rights. Join the IPC in Toronto and leverage your expertise in access and privacy regulations, including FIPPA and MFIPPA.
Develop policy recommendations, coordinate with stakeholders, and provide vital support for IPC initiatives. You'll play a key role in monitoring developments and shaping guides to ensure compliance for regulated sectors. Key Responsibilities:
Identify access and privacy developments in public sector
Provide policy analysis for FIPPA, MFIPPA, and CYFSA
Engage with internal and external partner groups
Prepare briefing notes, project plans, and presentations
Lead IPC policy initiatives and support communications Requirements:
Expertise in privacy and information legislation
Solid research and analytical skills
Excellent communication and coordination abilities
Previous experience in policy development or analysis
Ability to work independently and collaboratively Enhance policy initiatives through insightful analysis and communication at Ontario's IPC.
