In the role on the QPU Design team, you will be responsible for complex layouts of photonic integrated circuits integral to IonQ's quantum systems. Partner with scientists and engineers to transition creative designs to production, influencing the trajectory of quantum computing advancements. Key Responsibilities:
Design and arrange photonic components on multi-layer chips
Generate layout files using Python for commercial processes
Collaborate on design requirements with scientists
Define design rules with fabrication and test engineers
Perform verification and documentation of layout workflows Requirements:
Significant experience in PIC design (2+ years)
