General Outline The Parts Stock Clerk learns to receive, identify, use an electronic parts catalog, and store incoming parts while assisting internal mechanics or external retail clients. The role focuses on mastering inventory management systems, developing mechanical literacy, and maintaining strict organizational standards in the parts storeroom.
Duties & Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Assist with part categorization and cycle counts
Identify and report inventory discrepancies
Update inventory records under supervision
Support bin‑location maintenance
Storeroom Operations
Verify packing slips and received shipments
Inspect incoming parts for damage or defects
Organize shelves for efficient parts retrieval
Prepare warranty parts for return shipment
Inventory Control & Stocking
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or irregularities
Receive, unpack, label, and stock parts
Maintain a clean and organized parts counter and storeroom
Counter Service & Distribution
Pull parts for technicians and customers
Use catalogs to verify correct part numbers
Answer inquiries regarding availability and order status
Deliver priority parts to shop technicians
Assist with special‑order intake and tagging
Skills and Responsibilities
Ability to learn quickly
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) repeatedly
Robust attention to detail and accuracy in matching alphanumeric part numbers, and inventory management
Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn dealership management software and electronic parts catalogue
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work effectively in a quick-paced workplace while managing multiple priorities
Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
Pay: $24.00 per hour
