Optometric Assistant Innisfail Eyecare Centre

Innisfail Eyecare Centre is seeking a dedicated and qualified Optometric Assistant to join our practice.

Position Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. We are unable to accommodate exceptions to these hours.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience. This is an entry-level position for candidates without prior experience; training will be provided.

Position Overview The Optometric Assistant will play an integral role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Responsibilities include assisting with patient intake and pre-testing, supporting the optometrist during examinations, and providing guidance to patients on eyewear selection.

Qualifications and Requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Emotional intelligence and maturity in patient and team interactions
Demonstrated reliability and punctuality




Strong self-motivation and a proactive approach to work
Prior experience in optometry or a related healthcare field is considered an asset but is not required
Fluency in English
Reliable personal transportation to and from the workplace
Legal eligibility to work in Canada; the organization is unable to provide sponsorship
