Overview

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Barista to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring efficient operations in a fast-paced setting.

Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred. A robust focus on food safety, cash handling, and time management is essential for success in this position.

Duties
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks.
Handle cash register operations, including cashiering and cash handling with accuracy
Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently without sacrificing quality
Restock supplies as needed and perform basic food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks




Uphold all health and safety regulations related to food service and sanitation standards

Qualifications
Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred.
Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
Solid customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests.
Must be fluent in English
Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
Knowledge of food safety, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
Reliable work ethic with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
