Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori teaching assistant to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate has an Early Childhood/Casa Montessori assistant certification, or is willing to obtain one via a 20 hour virtual course.

This role involves teaching reading and writing skills to Casa children, and creating an engaging learning environment that accommodates diverse learning needs. This teacher must also assist the Montessori Teacher in the room, as well as perform cleaning and classroom management duties. This role is for 11 am to 5 pm, with a thirty minute unpaid lunch break.

On some days there would be an opportunity to work extra hours. We will discuss the candidate's availability and the school's needs.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote language acquisition.




Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
Create a positive classroom workplace that encourages student participation and collaboration.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Assist the classroom's team with cleaning, serving food, and teaching Montessori lessons.

Experience
Proven experience teaching in a classroom setting.
An Early Childhood/Casa Montessori assistant certification, or willing to obtain one.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively.
Experience with tutoring or providing additional support to students as needed.
