We are seeking a Litigation Lawyer with expertise in tax law to assist our legal team on a matter. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a fee assessment on an account.
Duties
Handle and advise on taxation of legal accounts and cost assessments.
Review and assess legal accounts, dockets, disbursements, and supporting documentation.
Conduct legal research regarding costs, solicitor-client accounts, assessments, and applicable rules and jurisprudence.
Liase with clients, opposing party, and staff.
Provide practical advice and input on legal accounts and cost assessments.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and valid license to practice law in relevant jurisdiction
Required experience in trust accounting and litigation. (min. 5 years)
Exceptional analytical thinking combined with proactive problem-solving abilities
