About The Role
Zen Residential is seeking a hands-on, service-driven Resident Manager to oversee the full day-to-day operations of our first property in Regina, a 90+ unit residential community.
This is a unique, all-in-one role that blends property management, leasing, maintenance, and cleaning responsibilities. You will act as the primary on-site presence, responsible for creating a well-run, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for residents.
From leasing and resident relations to completing repairs and maintaining common areas, you will take ownership of the property and play a key role in delivering a high-quality resident experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
What You Will Do
Property Operations and Leasing
- Oversee the daily operations of a 90+ unit residential property.
- Manage all leasing activities including showings, applications, move-ins, and renewals.
- Earn leasing commission for each suite successfully signed.
- Build strong relationships with residents by providing responsive, professional service.
- Collect rent and proactively manage arrears.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and overall condition.
- Maintain accurate records, work orders, and reports using property management systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
Maintenance and Property Standards
- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs within suites and common areas.
- Prepare vacant units to ensure they are clean, safe, and market ready.
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, amenities, and exterior spaces.
- Coordinate and oversee external contractors for specialized repairs and services.
What You Bring
- 2 to 5 years of experience in residential property management, maintenance, or a similar hands-on role.
- Solid ability to perform general maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Experience with cleaning and maintaining residential buildings to a high standard.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the property.
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable using property management software such as Yardi.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Basic tools required for maintenance tasks.
- Physical ability to perform maintenance duties including lifting, bending, and climbing ladders.
