The University of Alberta invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Precision Human Health Laboratory. Collaborate on studies involving cardiopulmonary function and E-Cigarettes, led by Dr. Michael Stickland.
This in-person position, lasting two years in North Campus Edmonton, targets Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or Physiology PhD graduates. You will engage in cutting-edge research focused on exercise intolerance and pulmonary complications, assisting with CIHR-funded projects while enhancing your skills in integrative physiology. Opportunities exist to develop independent lines of research and publish findings globally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead CIHR-funded projects on cardiopulmonary issues
• Investigate pulmonary circulation as a COPD therapeutic target
• Study mechanisms of dyspnea in clinical populations
• Employ advanced technologies for physiologic assessments
• Publish research findings and seek funding opportunities
Requirements:
• Recent PhD in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or Physiology
• Proficiency in integrative physiology research
• Experience in cardiopulmonary pathophysiology
