We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Junior Accountant. This position reports to Financial Controller and will work in Vancouver, BC. Dometic Marine’s headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic, and combustion‑based products. As Junior Accountant of the Vancouver team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing month‑end close activities, and preparing accurate financial and management reports. In addition, you will support budgeting, audits, tax filings, and financial analysis initiatives, while driving process improvements and partnering with cross‑functional teams to deliver actionable insights that support business decisions.

General Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS and internal standard operating procedures

Assist with weekly sales forecasting activities

Execute a variety of month‑end/year‑end duties, including generating and posting journal entries, analyzing financial statements, preparing intercompany billing, reconciling B/S accounts within established time frames

Assist with management reports and performance dashboards

Assist with completing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages and supplementary forms as required.

Participate in and support various department projects, including budgeting/forecasting, internal/external audits, monthly commodity tax returns, annual tax filings (including SRED) and efficiency improvement initiatives





Assist in Government Audits (e.g., sales tax, corporate tax)

Manage accounting for capital assets

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyze business trends and deliver actionable insights

Conduct variance analysis and explain key drivers of business performance

Respond to information requests from Parent Company (Corporate)

Prepare and file Statistics Canada reports

Support strategic initiatives and ad‑hoc financial analysis as needed

Skills & Requirements

Completed or currently pursuing a degree in accounting or related

Manufacturing accounting experience is strongly preferred.

Solid understanding of GAAP, IFRS and audit requirements

Two+ years of progressive experience in an accounting role.

Intermediate‑to‑advanced proficiency in Excel

Demonstrated experience optimizing finance process and implementing improvements

Experience with capital asset management, internal controls, and budgeting processes

Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems in a manufacturing environment

Experience with corporate tax filings and payroll processing is an asset

The salary for this position ranges from $67,000 CAD to $80,000 CAD per annum. Actual salary offered will be based on education, experience, skills, and qualifications as they relate to the role.
