Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

Job Location: Niagara on the Lake, ON

Reports to: Retail Manager

Position Type: Full time or Part time

Wage: $18.00/hour

About the Role:

As a Retail Sales Associate, you’ll be the face of the winery, creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional service, product knowledge, and a welcoming presence. You’ll support daily operations by assisting with tastings, retail sales, food service, and general upkeep of the winery.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly and provide an engaging, informative tasting experience

- Educate guests about wines, promotions, wine club memberships, and events

- Process purchases, tastings, and wine club signups using the POS system

- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail and tasting space

- Restock merchandise, wine, and supplies throughout the day

- Support reservation prep and ensure guests are seated promptly

- Take guest orders for wine and food (e.g., charcuterie) and serve at the table

- Ensure timely and professional delivery of food and beverages

- Explicit and reset tables between guest visits

- Communicate with the team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction

- Ensure cleanliness of guest-facing areas including tables, bar, and washrooms

- Support daily opening, mid-shift, and closing duties

- Assist in setting up and tearing down events or private bookings

- Follow opening, closing, and cleaning procedures as assigned

Qualifications

- Previous customer service, hospitality or sales experience preferred

- Friendly, professional, and confident with strong communication skills

- Basic knowledge of wine and a willingness to learn more

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and take initiative

Requirements

- Must be available weekends and holidays

- Smart Serve Certified

- Ability to life 25kg
