Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, providing knowledgeable product information and demonstrations when needed
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase store revenue through effective sales techniques




- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store displays are attractive and well-maintained in line with merchandising standards
- Manage inventory by stocking new products, conducting stock counts, and assisting with product replenishment
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette or in person, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Support supervising staff during busy periods, helping to coordinate tasks such as cashiering, product demos, and stock management

Experience

- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math concepts such as cash drawer handling and basic calculations will help you succeed
- Bilingual skills are a plus to connect with diverse customers effectively
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members
- Experience in supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising principles, and grocery operations will set you apart
- Prior experience with cashiering, cash handling, upselling techniques, or product demos will help you hit the ground running
