The Health & Safety Advisor plays a key role in preventing workplace hazards and promoting a proactive safety culture across Beaudoin Construction’s job sites. Working closely with field teams, he ensures compliance with applicable health and safety legislation, company policies, and industry best practices while overseeing site inspections, training initiatives, and incident management. This position contributes directly to the continuous improvement of the Health & Safety Management System and supports the maintenance of COR certification in a dynamic and fast-paced construction setting.
Tasks:
Collaborate with site teams to identify, assess, and mitigate health and safety risks
Maintain an active presence on construction sites and support field teams in implementing H&S; best practices
Conduct site inspections, monitor corrective actions, and manage incident investigations and follow-up
Participate in the planning of high-risk work activities to ensure compliance with H&S; requirements
Deliver Health & Safety training sessions and educate workers to promote a proactive safety culture.
Requirements
College diploma or Diploma of College Studies in Construction, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably within the construction industry
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Strong knowledge of Ontario and Québec Health & Safety legislation and regulations or COR certification is considered a strong asset
Experience using SafetyCulture (iAuditor) is considered an asset
