Echelon Insurance is looking for a Senior Technical Specialist to lead accident benefits claims management in Canada. Your role involves high-level oversight on complex claims and litigation processes.

In this position, reporting directly to the Technical Claims Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight and handling of commercial and personal automobile Accident Benefits claims. You’ll manage external adjusters, negotiate high complexity claims, and stay up-to-date on relevant legal developments. Your background in claims handling will directly impact our operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide oversight of external adjusters for outsourced claims
• Investigate and negotiate moderate to high complexity claims




• Manage catastrophic claims effectively
• Handle litigation and dispute resolution independently
• Stay informed about industry trends and case law

Requirements:
• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5-7 years in accident perks claims
• CIP certification or pursuing same
• Deep knowledge of claims practices and policy wording
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation and conflict resolution
