Provides technical leadership and oversight for project execution, serving as the design authority and ensuring the successful delivery of complex engineering solutions. Leads projects involving system-level integration or significant technical requirements, applying advanced expertise to investigate, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges. Offers technical guidance and support throughout all phases of project activities, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to engineering standards. Evaluates and optimizes processes to identify the most effective solutions for each client application. Acts as a mentor to junior professionals, fostering technical development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES Technical Applies their professional engineering seal to drawings, specifications, and technical documents within their authorized scope of practice, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Conducts engineering studies in collaboration with clients by collecting and analyzing system data, performing modelling and technical assessments, evaluating design alternatives, and preparing technical reports with sound engineering recommendations.
Develops, reviews, and approves engineering designs ranging from individual components to complete integrated systems. Ensures the technical integrity of projects by analyzing complex engineering challenges, determining the most effective technical approach, and delivering safe, practical, and client-focused solutions.
Specifies materials, equipment, and technical resources required for project execution, while applying advanced engineering principles and analytical methods to investigate, resolve, and recommend solutions for complex technical issues.
Leads complex design and modification projects, interprets test results and engineering analyses, recommends corrective actions where required, and provides technical leadership and subject matter expertise to project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Project Management Develops project plans, schedules, cost estimates, and procurement documentation to support successful project execution.
Manages project execution by coordinating resources, balancing team and client timelines, monitoring budgets, and ensuring project objectives are achieved.
Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle and coordinating with internal departments to support project requirements.
Provides technical guidance with a strong focus on safety, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and safe work practices.
Oversight Provides technical leadership,



guidance, and mentorship to engineers and designers, fostering technical excellence and professional development.
Reviews and approves engineering and design deliverables, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.
Plans, assigns, and delegates technical work based on project priorities, team capabilities, and resource requirements to support successful project execution.
Sales/Customer Relations Communicates effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders through technical reports, proposals, quotations, presentations, and day-to-day correspondence.
Builds and maintains strong client relationships by providing technical guidance and keeping customers informed of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices that support operational improvements and long-term value.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an engineering program recognized by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing (or eligible for registration).
Minimum 5 years of progressive industrial electrical engineering experience.
Experience leading engineering projects from concept through completion.
Strong knowledge of Canadian electrical codes, industry standards, and engineering best practices.

Technical recommendations and project management improvements contribute to successful project outcomes,



operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
JOB SCOPE Provides advanced engineering expertise and professional services on complex technical projects and client assignments. Applies extensive engineering knowledge, sound professional judgment, and advanced analytical skills to investigate, evaluate, and resolve challenging technical issues where solutions are not readily defined.
Serves as the technical authority for projects, ensuring engineering integrity throughout all phases of project execution. Leverages extensive practical experience to provide innovative, client-focused solutions, mentor and develop engineers and designers, and elevate technical standards across the organization.
Acts as a trusted technical advisor to managers, project teams, and clients, providing recommendations that influence project direction, technical strategy, and business outcomes. Coordinates engineering activities across multidisciplinary teams and departments, fostering solid collaborative relationships to ensure the successful delivery of integrated engineering solutions.
EFFORT Applies advanced technical expertise and strong communication skills to resolve complex engineering challenges and provide trusted advice to clients and internal stakeholders. Exercises sound professional judgment in interpreting standards, identifying exceptions, and recommending process improvements, technical solutions, and best practices based on evolving technologies and industry trends.
Manages multiple concurrent projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment where interruptions are frequent and work demands are consistently high. Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to maintain accuracy while addressing complex technical issues and competing priorities. Provides ongoing coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback to engineers and designers, while escalating recurring performance or behavioral concerns to the Manager as appropriate.
WORKING CONDITIONS This role is based in both an office environment and industrial client sites. Periodic travel to customer facilities is required to support project execution, commissioning, client meetings, and field activities.
