Eaton’s Electrical Sector is seeking a Project Leader to join the team. This is a hybrid role based at the Burlington, ON office.

What You’ll Do
The Project Leader is responsible for proactively coordinating all aspects of large value project orders containing standard, assembled-to-order, engineered-to-order equipment and associated professional engineered services. The PMT shall create customer value by leveraging established processes to deliver a best-in-class project management service.
The incumbent will functionally serve as a customer advocate and demonstrate leadership in all issues related to the project, while communicating with assigned commercial, plant, field sales & service teams. In addition, the Project Leader reviews technical customer inquiries and ensures prompt resolution of these matters through technical acumen or leveraging subject matter experts to ensure on-time project execution with financial integrity.
Responsibilities
Be competent in all aspects of project management while operating with limited direct supervision.
Assume complete technical management of the project, including specification review, VDR submissions, and complete plans review through in-depth discussions with the project quotations team.
Act to satisfy customer commitments and provide guidance to the assigned commercial support specialist ensuring financial invoicing accuracy.
Define the needs of customers, understand factory capabilities, establish agreement with customer/factory, and communicate project deliverables accordingly.
Manage all aspects of project execution with channel partners, strategic accounts, end users, consulting engineers, and OEMs to maintain and grow favorable relationships.
Field and lead proactive responsive resolution of customer concerns with the Eaton operations teams.
Ensure financial document compliance through Purchase Order, Terms & Conditions, price verification, and BOM review with sales and/or senior leadership teams.
Demonstrate strong organizational and documentation skills.
Demonstrate unyielding integrity and regulatory compliance in all areas of the role.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications
Degree or diploma equivalent in an engineering discipline, preferably electrical or mechanical.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a related field.
Successful technical background in residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects.
Strong application knowledge of Engineered Products for Electrical Power Distribution.
Demonstrated construction plan familiarity with comprehensive power systems knowledge.
AutoCAD literate in the application of Power Engineered Products.
Successful experience as a Project Coordinator or a Sales Representative.
No relocation benefit is offered for this position.
Must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
University degree or accredited diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/Technology.
Minimum 5 years experience in working with electrical products and assemblies.
Technical Professional Designation (P.Eng., C.E.T., or C.Tech).
Proficiency in French language will be an asset.

Experience collaborating with Sales Engineers, Product Engineers and Manufacturing plants.
Managing order entry delays caused by commercial problems, timely receipt of orders, and outstanding financial issues.
Reviewing various drawing processes, e-tools and availability, warranty vs. commercial concessions, managing customer relationships on behalf of Eaton.
