The Healthcare Professional is responsible for initiation of prescribed respiratory therapy in the Medigas office, or the client home including assessment, education, documentation, and follow-up to ensure equipment performance and client compliance. Promotion of Medigas products and services to referral sources, including educational in-services to medical / healthcare communities is an integral part of the job.
What you will enjoy doing
You will initiate and monitor prescribed respiratory therapy in the Medigas office and in clients’ homes, ensuring assessment, education, documentation, and follow-up for equipment performance and client compliance
Deliver and exchange respiratory equipment in clients’ homes, involving lifting up to 60 pounds
Moreover, you shall conduct in-home client visits, including long-distance travel, and in-office consultations with sleep and oxygen clients
Conduct respiratory equipment in-service training sessions with various community partners
In this role, you will promote Medigas products and services to referral sources and within the medical / healthcare community
Build and maintain high-quality relationships with clients and referral sources
You are responsible for performing all job duties in compliance with safety standards and company policies
Support the training and development of current employees as needed and participate in a regular on-call rotation
What makes you great
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered Nurse (RN) with current registration; LPN / RPN with current registration may also be considered
You bring a minimum of 2 years of related experience, with homecare and sales experience considered assets. Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
You have a strong ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage a busy workload
High attention to detail, results-oriented, and able to work under pressure with a strong sense of urgency
Uphold a commitment to client and personal safety and maintain client confidentiality at all times
You possess a clear driving record/abstract and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds
Ensure proof of full COVID-19 vaccination as defined by WHO-approved vaccine guidelines (final dose received at least 14 days before start date)
