Compensation
The base salary for this role ranges between $81,600 and $112,200, with eligibility for an incentive target of 10% contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives. The pay range reflects potential total compensation for this role at the time of posting and may vary depending on location, experience and skills.

Position Summary
The Field Safety Specialist provides Safety & Health expertise to Grainger customers and sellers, partnering with District Sales Managers in their defined regions to ensure alignment to safety and health opportunities and training sellers on Grainger’s Health and Safety offers and resources.

Job Responsibilities (You Will)

Conduct customer needs analysis to understand the customer’s health and safety concerns and align to Grainger Safety & Health solutions, leading customer discussions and determining readiness for change.

Provide tailored solutions that reduce costs or increase efficiency using innovative product or service applications, performing cost‑savings analyses and holding value‑based conversations.

Implement solutions by working with internal and external resources, monitoring implementation to ensure business needs are met and identifying future opportunities with the customer.

Guide Grainger sellers on strategy, coaching and direction on health and safety opportunities,



educating sellers on key safety offerings and messaging.

Maintain expertise through safety credentials focused on regulations and industry topics, expanding customer understanding and use of Grainger’s standard product and service capabilities.

Education / Experience (You Have)

Strong business & safety acumen, able to understand financial reporting and document safety and health value to customers.

3+ years experience in safety hazard analysis and assessments.

Ability to project manage and drive for results.

Experience conducting workplace inspections and analyses to prevent injuries and reduce accidents, including engineering controls, ergonomics and hazmat control.

Understanding of safety regulations, applications, violations, drivers, programs and building a safety culture.

Ability to learn and apply the Grainger Selling Process to effectively team and solution sell with Grainger sellers.

Ability to build strong networks and work cross‑functionally.

Skilled in the use of computer and communications technology.

Possession of a valid license and a reliable vehicle.

Safety Requirements: This role may require you to attend customers’ sites and adhere to safety requirements in accordance with applicable health and safety legislation, including wearing personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, steel‑toed boots, and a clean‑shaven or trimmed beard for an N95 mask.

Additional Safety Requirements:



Some customers may have alcohol and drug screening policies for on‑site contractors and vendors. You may be required to submit to such screening procedures as and when requested as a condition of being permitted on such sites.
