High School English Teacher

Location: William Academy – Cobourg Campus

William Academy at Cobourg Campus is seeking a High School English Teacher at the senior level to join our teaching team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for education and a commitment to supporting diverse learners in an engaging, student-centered setting.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging lessons in English that meet curriculum expectations and foster student success.
Use a variety of teaching strategies, creative tools, and digital platforms to enhance student involvement and learning outcomes.
Adapt instructional methods to support the diverse needs of international and local students.
Assess and evaluate student progress in alignment with Growing Success guidelines.
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom workplace.




Collaborate effectively with colleagues and administrators to contribute to the school’s academic and community goals.

Qualifications & Skills
Experience teaching English at the high school level.
Experience teaching international students at the high school level is beneficial.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience teaching international students is an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office & OneDrive, Zoom and Moodle
Solid classroom management and organizational skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:
Teaching: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
OCT (preferred)
