Nursing Assistant, Health Unit Assistant, Emergency Medical Responder, etc).OrTwo years' experience in a related technical setting from which comparable skills can be acquired (e.G. and the public.Ability to organize and maintain accurate records and to make decisions quickly and effectively.Ability to use tools and equipment as required.A satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.OTHER JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of medical terminology and human physiology is an asset.Key responsibilitiesPrepares simulation areas, patient care simulators, scenario props, supplies, equipment to support the specifications identified by instructional staff.Serves as a simulator operator by running scenarios with faculty instructors.Safely handles medical supplies including sharps and surgical instruments.Assist instructors with the implementation of scenarios.Assists users in identification of equipment and supplies.Completes the setup, preparation, and tear down of synthetic, virtual, and other trainers.Completes the setup, stocking, preparation, and safe disposal of biological samples including animal and human cadaveric parts.Responsible for the cleanliness of lab space.Ensures instructor and student compliance with lab policies, procedures, and safety precautions.Understands the use and operation of different simulator technologies.Assembles and prepares task trainer simulators.Powers on high-fidelity human-patient simulators and associated peripherals.Breaks down, transports, sets up, and operates simulation off site as required.Resolves technical problems with systems and equipment.Completes equipment assembly,



repairs or adjustment.Conducts preventative/routine maintenance.Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and arranges for repair.Instructs faculty users and students in the operation, safe handling, and use of simulation equipment, medical equipment, and trainers.Sets up, configures, and controls cameras, pagers, recorders, and video routing for the main control room, observation area, debriefing rooms and individual rooms.Conducts troubleshooting of the specialized software and hardware related to Simulation Mannequins and virtual simulators.Powers on laptop and desktop computers.
