POSITION SUMMARY
This position will assist the Traffic & Customs department, with all facets of international cross border customs clearances, maintaining USMCA certificates for all cross border shipments, ensuring compliance with US, Canada and International authorities, preparing customs invoices, as well as ensuring that data is updated according to all regulations required for lawful movement of goods to our facilities, our customers and our partners.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Work with the Traffic and Customs team and external vendors to submit tariff recovery claims

Gather supporting documents required for each recovery submission to ensure they are complete and accurate and track the status for each recovery submission.

Gathering data from all stakeholders in order to classify Make parts

Communication with internal and external stakeholders to reconcile invoices buyers for parts in transit

Preparing lists for items needing to be updated in the New Flyer Oracle database for country of origin and tariff

Assure Customs and Shipping documentation is completed correctly and in compliance with Regulations

Assure that requests from Governmental agencies are responded to and addressed in a timely manner

Support Brokerage service providers with information requests and/or tariff and regulations compliance documentation as well as address issues related to same

Update the New Flyer Oracle database with necessary customs information including but not limited to tariff numbers and country of origin certificates

Audit, correct and file Customs Entries and Amendments

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

Minimum 3 years’ purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment





University or college graduate with studies relevant to Logistics preferred a completion of CSBC Course or a recognized transportation course are considered an asset

Minimum 3 years of traffic, customs, and purchasing experience in a quick-paced manufacturing environment.

Proven ability to multi-task with minimal supervision in a time sensitive environment

Strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

High attention to detail

Effective problem-solving abilities with strong data manipulation and analysis skills

The ability to demonstrate a high sense of urgency with a hands-on approach
