Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Health Care Aide to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support to residents, promote their well-being, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support residents with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
Monitor and document residents’ health status,
reporting any changes to nursing staff.
Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, promoting a person-centered approach to care.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
Ensure compliance with facility policies and BC health regulations.
Qualifications:
Registration with BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry required.
Valid Food Safety certificate required.
Valid First Aid Level C certificate required.
Previous experience in long-term care or a related field preferred.
Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
