Position Summary

Arrow Drywall Ltd. is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Supervisor to lead and oversee all health and safety initiatives across multiple construction sites in Calgary and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety regulations, COR requirements, company safety standards, and client-specific safety programs. This role will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, field crews, and subcontractors to create and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain company health and safety programs.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
- Ensure compliance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
- Lead site safety orientations for employees, subcontractors,



and visitors.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions.
- Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses and prepare detailed reports.
- Monitor and maintain COR compliance and audit requirements.
- Develop site-specific safety plans and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain safety records, training logs, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safe work practices.
- Work closely with project managers and site supervisors to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Coordinate modified work and return-to-work programs when required.
- Monitor subcontractor safety compliance.
- Assist management with continuous improvement of company safety systems.
- Promote a positive and proactive safety culture across all projects.

Qualifications Required

- Minimum 3–5 years of construction safety experience.
- Experience working within drywall, steel stud framing, interior systems, or general construction.
- Strong understanding of Alberta Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong report-writing and incident investigation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).





Preferred

- NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) designation.
- CSO (Construction Safety Officer) certification.
- COR Auditor certification.
- Standard First Aid with CPR.
- CSTS 2020.
- WHMIS.
- Fall Protection Certification.
- Elevated Work Platform Certification.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

- Experience managing safety programs for large residential or commercial construction projects.
- Experience with subcontractor management and compliance monitoring.
- Experience using digital safety management platforms and reporting software.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
