Cloudy Then Clear Windows — Barrie, Ontario
Contract-to-Hire | Full-Time Hours | Base Wage + Uncapped Performance Pay (paid per appointment booked and per sale)
Read this whole posting before you apply. It will tell you very quickly whether this job is perfect for you — or absolutely not for you.
We replace foggy, failed and damaged window glass without making homeowners replace their entire windows. We're growing fast, and we're hiring one exceptional person to sit at the center of our sales engine.
This is not a customer service job where you wait for the phone to ring. This is a fast, organized, on-your-feet role for someone who loves people, loves the phone, and cannot stand leaving a loose end open.
The best part: these are warm, motivated homeowners
You will not be cold-calling. Every lead you speak to has already seen our advertising and reached out to us because they have a real, frustrating problem — windows that are sweaty, foggy and cloudy between the two panes of glass. They want it solved. Your job is to be the friendly, confident voice that understands their problem, reassures them, and gets them booked in with the owner to fix it.
The one-sentence version of this job
When a homeowner reaches out about foggy windows, you are the person who calls them fast, gets them talking, figures out what's going on, and books a qualified appointment for our owner to go close — and then makes sure absolutely nothing falls through the cracks.
Who we're actually looking for
You are the person who hears "someone should call that lead" and is already dialing before the sentence is finished.
You are
Ferociously organized. Not "pretty organized." The kind of organized where an unreturned call or an open loop physically bothers you until it's closed.
Genuinely great on the phone. You like calling people. You warm them up in seconds.
Not afraid to sell. You understand that great service means helping the customer take the next step — and you're comfortable asking for the appointment and getting a yes.
A natural information-gatherer. You ask the right questions, listen, and capture everything accurately.
Persistent. You'll follow up a third and fourth time without being pushy, because you know that's where the deals are.
High-energy and warm. Homeowners should hang up happy they talked to you.
If picking up the phone and steering a friendly conversation toward a booking makes you uncomfortable, please don't apply — you'll be miserable and so will we.
What you'll actually do
Call every new lead fast — we measure speed to lead in minutes, not hours
Answer inbound calls, texts and messages from interested homeowners
Ask smart questions to understand the customer's window problem
Book qualified in-home sales appointments for the owner
Chase down leads who haven't booked yet — relentlessly and warmly
Log every single interaction in our CRM (nothing lives in your head)
Hand each closed deal off cleanly to our operations team
Manage and protect the owner's calendar and daily priorities
Catch the leads and callbacks that would otherwise slip away
This is also an Executive Assistant role — and a real career path The right person here is far more than a coordinator. You'll work side-by-side with the owner as his right hand and second brain — organizing his day, capturing his ideas and to-dos, and keeping him pointed at what matters most.
If you've ever wanted to become a true executive assistant — or grow into something bigger — this is that opportunity. You'll get a front-row seat to how a fast-growing company is built and how a top salesperson operates. For someone ambitious, this role has a long runway.
The hybrid part — please read this carefully before applying
This is a genuine mix of remote and in-the-field work, and understanding the balance is essential.
Some days you'll work from your own home office, running the phones and the pipeline. Other days you'll be out in the field with the owner — laptop on your lap, phone in hand — doing the same work from the passenger seat while acting as his right hand between appointments. Every day starts with a short planning meeting to decide the plan.
Important: while there is remote work involved, this is not a casual, work-from-home side job. You must be ready and available at a moment's notice to spend a full day out in the field with the owner, professionally presented and fully focused. This role demands your complete attention during working hours and the flexibility to switch between desk days and field days as the business needs.
If you're looking for a job you can do with divided attention, this isn't it — but if you want a energetic role where no two days are the same, you'll love it.
You'll need your own reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.
Technology
You should be comfortable learning CRM software, texting, email, calendars, spreadsheets, and modern AI/business tools quickly. We'll teach you our systems — but you must be tech-comfortable and a fast learner.
What success looks like
Within a few months, you're the person who always knows which leads haven't been contacted, who's waiting for a callback,
what's on the calendar tomorrow, and — most importantly — the owner's days are full of qualified appointments that turn into sales.
Compensation — this is where the right person gets excited
This role is built so that when you make us money, you make a lot of money.
Base hourly wage for stability while you ramp up and learn our systems.
Pay for every qualified appointment you book — you're rewarded directly for the work you control.
A bonus on every appointment that turns into a sale — you share in the wins you helped create.
The base is the floor, not the goal. For a driven, organized person who's great on the phone and loves booking meetings, the performance pay is where this role gets serious — and it's uncapped. The better you are, the more you earn. There is no ceiling on what the right person takes home here.
If you're the type who wants to be paid for results and back yourself to hit them, this structure was built for you. If you'd rather just collect a flat hourly cheque and coast, this isn't your role.
The arrangement
This starts as a contract position — a chance for both of us to make sure it's a great fit. For the right person, it can and will transition into a permanent employment role. We're not looking for a temporary hire; we're looking for someone to grow with us long-term.
How to apply
Skip the generic cover letter. We care far more about how you think and how you operate.
Please answer these two questions in your application:
- A homeowner filled out our form 20 minutes ago about five foggy windows. You have their number. Walk us through exactly what you do and say — from the moment you see the lead to the moment you're trying to book the appointment.
- Tell us about a time something was about to slip through the cracks and it drove you crazy until you fixed it. What did you do?
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
Application question(s)
- This role pays a base wage PLUS uncapped performance pay for every appointment you book and every sale that results. Are you excited to be paid for results and confident you can hit them?
