Empower individuals with mobility disabilities as a full-time Rehabilitation Counsellor in the Moncton region with Ability Recent Brunswick. Utilize your skills in problem-solving and creativity to support their independence and community participation. As a key member of Ability New Brunswick, you will work remotely, conducting home visits and offering guidance in hospitals and rehabilitation centers.
Your role involves counseling, planning, and facilitating to help clients achieve their health and independence goals. Ideal candidates are passionate about disability issues and possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities:
Meet clients in their homes, hospitals, or rehabilitation centers
Develop personalized action plans and goal-setting strategies
Mobilize support services and community resources
Facilitate client empowerment and independence
Build relationships with individuals and their support networks Requirements:
Post-secondary degree in Psychology, Sociology, or Human Services
Bilingual in English and French
Experience in counseling and person-centered planning
Solid computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office
