Motiontech was established in 1998. The business was started with the concept of providing a more technical approach to resolving mechanical problems in the air and fluid handling equipment industry. The company has also expanded to include services such as a full machine shop, dynamic balancing capabilities in house and in field, and laser alignment of pumps.
As a result, we are looking for a sales professional as a Sales & Service Manager.
The Sales
Manager under the direction of the President, will primarily be responsible to increase sales and customers, and to develop and provide direction to the service team. A typically day would be comprised of a variety of customer service activities that include but are not limited to, answering the phones to work order management, dispatching technicians to service jobs, planning for the next day’s service calls, filing, invoicing.
Key Role Responsibilities:
· Responsible for daily coordination and scheduling of technicians for service calls throughout the GTA
· Coordination and scheduling of workers, subcontractors, vendors, deliveries and materials as required
· Develop plans to grow business and expand market share.
· Will need to develop relationships with the mechanical contractors.
· Actively maintaining the relationship with all commercial/industrial customers while supporting the ongoing relationships with these customers. for, the commercial/industrial customers – including walking through the technical information
· Attend manufacturer’s factory/training visits to ensure the company is up to date on the latest product developments
· Implement strategies to develop and expand the company's customer base.
· Develop and implement both short- and long-term tactical and strategic plans in accordance with business goals and objectives.
· Assigning, monitoring and executing incoming service calls; either via phone, email or fax
· Input work orders as required following dispatch process
· Schedule work to technicians and follow all scheduling and dispatch procedures to maximize efficiency
· Ensure work is completed in a timely fashion and techs are following field processes
· Review active order reports (WIP) to ensure all orders are being completed in acceptable time as outlined
· Ensure all filed information for further action, estimating and parts ordering, is accurate and received
· Prepare and provide customers estimates, and send to client in timely fashion
· Review work order for accuracy and send to finance and customer (as required)
· Effectively communicates with customers to resolve concerns, issues, or complaints in order to assure total customer satisfaction
· Strong focus on professional customer service
· Act as liaison between customers and technicians
· Maintaining and updating customer database / files
· Problem solving of day to day activities
· Service Job management/entry
· Build rapport and productive positive working relationships with customers, vendors and outside agents
· Administrative responsibilities
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· At least 2-3 years of service experience in HVAC/Plumbing sales and coordinating services
· Minimum 3 years of sales experience
· Diploma in Engineering Technology or Skilled Engineering designation would be an asset
· Experience working in the service industry would be considered an asset, with technical knowledge of pumps, motors and fans
· Excellent communication skills, a strong listener
· Experience with answering calls, interacting in a professional manner with customers, forwarding calls and taking messages as required
· High energy and able to multi-task
· Strong analytical thinker. Scheduling involves balancing many variables
· Ability to maintain accurate information
· Strong learning aptitude with a technical flare
· Ability to master product knowledge to properly assess service calls
· Strong analytical thinking and ability to improve processes
· Self managing, motivated and driven individual
· Ability to work closely with the entire team or as an individual, and have exceptional people skills
· Detail oriented and excellent time management skills
· Possess a valid or be willing to obtain the following certifications: WHIMIS, H&S;, LOTO, WAH
· Fluency in technology and accompanying programs such as MS Office©, Quickbooks, experience with CRM systems
Hours of work are 7:30-4:00 with a half hour unpaid lunch and two 15 minute paid breaks.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
