Job Title: Professor (Part time) – Introduction to Industry 4.0

Department: School of Trades and Technology – Advanced Manufacturing

Location: Commerce Court Campus – North Bay, ON

Contract Duration: September 8 – December 18, 2026

The following teaching needs are required:

AMD150 – Introduction to Industry 4.0

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, and/or Industrial Manufacturing
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in mechanical design, process control and assurance and product design
- Experience with emerging technologies, AI, machining learning data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), cyber-physical systems, cloud computing, and 5G within the industrial and manufacturing processes
- Ability to design hands-on, project-based learning modules tailored to various skill levels
- Understanding of machine learning, optimization, and data visualization for engineering problems
- Highly effective communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a post-secondary setting




- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in learning management systems (Brightspace or Moodle) and educational technologies is an asset
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment design in a post-secondary context is an asset
- Must be able to reliably commute to the Commerce Court Campus in North Bay, ON required

Responsibilities:

- Plan, deliver and evaluate effective learning related to the course
- Work closely with students and colleagues to provide an optimal learning environment
- Perform all responsibilities associated with the learning environment including preparation, delivery, and evaluation of theory and practical learning activities
