Contribute to Alberta's adult learning governance as a full time Governance Analyst based in Edmonton. Conduct vital research and policy support to enhance accountability and transparency in public institutions. The position at the Ministry of Advanced Education focuses on implementing governance frameworks across Alberta’s adult learning system.
Key responsibilities include conducting research, analyzing governance practices, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure effective governance. This role collaborates closely with various agencies, supporting strategic decision-making and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research and jurisdictional scans on governance practices
Support development and evaluation of governance policies
Engage with stakeholders regarding governance inquiries
Monitor governance-related developments and issues
Prepare analytical reports for leadership decision-making Requirements:
University degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in governance or policy
Solid analytical and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Understanding of public sector governance principles Drive governance excellence across Alberta's educational system through research, analysis, and team-oriented support.
