Thyssen Mining seeks an experienced Safety Coordinator to lead health and safety initiatives on underground mining projects in British Columbia. Drive compliance and enhance overall safety culture. This position requires a committed skilled with at least three years of safety coordination experience in relevant industries.
Responsibilities include conducting site audits, managing safety compliance, and overseeing incident investigations. Your ability to communicate effectively and build relationships will be essential. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed site audits and safety inspections
Report compliance findings and action plans
Manage WorkSafeBC claims and modify duty processes
Guide incident investigations and implement recommendations
Promote ongoing safety training and risk assessments Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years in safety coordination in mining
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and Workers Compensation
Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence required
Ability to coordinate with diverse teams
