Pursue a vital role as a Forestry Sector Legal and Policy Analyst at PCAsia in Viet Nam. Drive impactful forest governance through legal reviews and policy analysis in a team-oriented setting. This position supports the ‘Parliaments Strengthening Forest Governance’ project aimed at enhancing the National Assembly's capabilities.
As a consultant, you will conduct comprehensive legal and policy reviews, producing a Policy Gap Matrix to identify inconsistencies and leverage parliamentary actions. Your contributions will facilitate stakeholder engagement and training initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
Design and prepare inception strategy with methodology
Review forest governance laws and policies in Viet Nam
Analyze budget frameworks and transparency mechanisms
Incorporate insights from civil society and Indigenous consultations
Validate findings with PCAsia and EWMI Requirements:
Advanced degree in social sciences or related field
7 years of experience in governance or policy research
Expertise in participatory approaches to governance
Understanding of Southeast Asian forest frameworks
Excellent analytical and writing skills in English Contribute your expertise to forest governance initiatives and strengthen parliamentary capacity in Viet Nam.
