English Teacher to join our High School team as we continue to grow and expand our programming. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to contribute to a dynamic and evolving school community.

Key
Responsibilities
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being
- Plan and deliver secondary humanities instruction aligned with Alberta curriculum outcomes (e.g., junior high and/or high school English)
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to support conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Integrate technology (e.g., SMART Boards, graphing tools, online platforms) into humanities instruction
- Assess and evaluate student progress; maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents
- Prepare course outlines and lesson plans aligned with curriculum guidelines
- Maintain robust classroom management and a calm,
professional approach in a dynamic environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and the broader community
- Contribute positively to a faith-based, culturally diverse school environment
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or higher from an accredited institution (or equivalent), with a focus or specialization in
English preferred
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate or Interim Professional Certificate
- Strong knowledge of secondary humanities curriculum and instructional practices
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven classroom management abilities
- Understanding of current, research-based teaching strategies in humanities education
- Experience integrating technology into instruction
- Commitment to inclusive education and student success
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Experience in a faith-based or culturally diverse school setting is an asset
