Job Summary

Luxuria Group is seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Accounting Manager to join our growing team in Calgary, Alberta. This is a hands-on senior accounting role responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the financial needs of multiple companies and business divisions.

The ideal candidate will bring strong full-cycle accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-entity setting.

Responsibilities & Duties:

- Oversee and perform full-cycle accounting for multiple companies and business divisions.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including reconciliations and payment processing.
- Prepare and review monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.




- Prepare month-end and year-end working papers and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and adjusting entries.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are accurately coded and recorded.
- Prepare and file GST returns and ensure compliance with applicable CRA requirements.
- Prepare, maintain, and review project and job cost sheets.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
- Assist with financial statements, management reporting, and variance analysis.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow monitoring.
- Maintain accurate intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Assist with payroll-related accounting and reconciliations as required.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, financial institutions, and other third parties.
- Maintain appropriate accounting controls, processes, and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting procedures and improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide accounting guidance and oversight to members of the accounting team.
- Complete additional accounting and financial duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience in a senior accounting role.
- CPA designation is preferred.




- Strong practical knowledge of full-cycle accounting principles and processes.
- Hands-on experience with both Sage Accounting and QuickBooks.
- Experience using both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop is required.
- Strong experience preparing and reconciling GST returns.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and managing cost sheets and job/project costing.
- Experience working with multiple companies, entities, or business divisions is considered a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities independently.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling financial information.
