Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy machinery, including Palfinger truck monted cranes, truck mouted forklifts, Manitou Telehandlers, and farm equipment. This role requires a solid mechanical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

The Heavy Equipment

Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in heavy equipment such as cranes, and forklifts.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of machinery including Manitou and Palfinger products.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and repair tasks.
Read and interpret schematics to understand electrical systems in heavy equipment.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each piece of equipment.




Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating heavy machinery during repairs.

Skills
Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs.
Experience working with industrial equipment is highly desirable.
Ability to read schematics for electrical systems and automotive repair tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a robust attention to detail.
